S.R. Gurudatta was born on 1st November 1951 to the orthodox Brahmin parents Ranga Rao and Lakshmi Devamma at Srirangapatana in Mysore District. He spent his childhood in Mysore.He obtained a degree in commerce from the university of the Mysore in the year 1970. The next year he took his Masters degree in Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management, Ahamedabad. Soon after that he joined the government service as a finance officer in the Ministry of Education at Mysore. He left this job and worked as a Marketing Executive for three and half years in Bombay. There after he stopped earning for lively hood and started living to transfer the ideologies and experiences he received form his father who was his first Guru. Gurudatta totally dedicated himself to the learning of Yoga, Meditation and study of Scriptures.
For last 40 years, Shree Gurudatta Guruji has committed his life for the cause of awakening the humanity to the oneness of universal love which Guruji experienced during observance of noble silence in the abundant serenity of the Himalayas. During this observance of noble silence our Guruji ascended to divine enlightenment. Guruji retreats to the Himalayas regularly for three months in a year for observing noble silence. It is with this mission and vision that our Guruji is imparting structured training in the practices of pranayama and mediation, true to the best of traditions established by the ancient masters.
Guruji consciously envisions the emergence of a new society where every individual excels to realize his divined capabilities to the full extent both in the mental and physical planes. Thereby these individuals living in peace and harmony, contributing to the well being of humanity cutting across the barriers and boundaries which men created.
